A 1920s/30s small box, with fold down flap and faux tortoishell brush. The box measures approx 11.5cm width, 7.5cm height, 5cm depth. It is made out of wood, that has been covered in paper. There is some evidence of woodworm. Inside the box there is a mirror, and a yellow silk lining. There is a small ivory coloured plastic clip to the front flap - which folds down, the box has metal hinges and a metal clasp - both still working. Overall the box is in well used/tatty condition - there are signs of woodworm, specking/discolouration to the mirror, fading and general wear to the outside of the box.
The faux tortoiseshell brush measures is ovl in shape. It measures approx 8cm length, 5.5cm width, 2.5cm height. Towards one end of the brush the plastic tortoiseshell looks quite "Matt" on close inspection - compared to the rest of the brush. It is set with bristles - I am not sure if they are real bristles or faux, there are three tufts of bristles missing. The brush is in well used condition.
