Mahogany Secretary Bookcase, Circa 1770, England. Of two parts, the upper part with double bonnet cornice, above 2 break-arch glazed doors each with 6 muntins. The lower part with slant flap lid, having crossbanding and stringing, opening to interior fitted with prospect door, cubby holes and 4 drawers with leather writing surface, above 4 graduated cockbeaded drawers with crossbanding and stringing, raised on bracket feet. Condition: Marred finish on lid.
