Leonard Auction was founded by auctioneer and appraiser John Leonard in 2004. Leonard Auction began as an on-site auction company and eBay seller before opening our first auction house in 2006. Located in Naperville, Illinois, the business quickly outgrew our space and in September of 2007 we opened our new auction house in Addison, Illinois. Our premiere 8,000 square foot facility is one of the largest in Chicago and features a unique showroom and auction floor that provides the industry's best experience for bidders.
Leonard Auction conducts twelve Decorative Arts & Furniture auctions throughout the year on the second Saturday of each month. These sales feature a wide variety of antiques & collectibles including (but certainly not limited to): furniture, fine art & sculpture, jewelry, dolls, clocks, cars, tractors, books, phones, china, desks, pottery, crystal, bottles, radios, watches, silver, glass, tools and slot machines. Additionally we hold several specialty auctions throughout the year including: 'Coins & Currency,' 'Toys, Trains & Advertising,' and 'Books, Manuscripts & Paper.' We are continually accepting consignments for all upcoming sales.
In addition to our regular auction schedule we hold 8-10 select and premiere estate sales throughout the year. These sales are also known as 'tag sales' or 'conducted house sales' and allow us to settle estates in situations where an auction is not feasible. We have been noted for conducting such high profile sales as the 3-Day Sale at Benedictine Sisters' Sacred Heart Monastery.
