Item Description

Here is a Gleaner F2 Corn-Soybean Special. Serial # F-K41828V. According to the serial # it is a 1979 model. It has the spike tooth cylinder and the variable speed transmission. It has the 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine that starts and runs good and strong. I think the injector pump may have gotten a little trash in it or maybe a spring needs replacing. When you start the combine, rev the engine up, and then back off the throttle, you have to tap the pump to get it to go back to a low idle. The machine shows 2122.9 hours, the meter worked when I shelled corn with it last fall.

I got this machine last year and shelled about 6 acres with it to make sure it worked. It did a pretty good job being it had not been used in 5 years or more. It does need some work. Needs some new sprockets and chains in places. I replaces several of chains already. The A/C does not work and I didn't even try to fix it. All the A/C components seem to be in place. Needs some sheet metal under some of the augers patched. I patched it temporarily just to be able to use it. It does have some fluid leaks in places. But nothing that couldn't be fixed fairly easily, I just didn't worry about them and added a little fluid when needed. The pic of the steering column shows one of the leaks when the combine is running. The machine is running in most photos. I also moved it for a couple photos to show it runs and drives.

The drive tires have lots of tread but are weather cracked. One front rim has been repaired, but I don't know the story behind why. I included a pic of the repaired rim. The rear tires are in decent condition and all have held air all winter.

The header that is on this machine DOES NOT go with the combine. That header is not mine and will be removed before pickup. I do have a 438 corn head that I will sell with the combine if needed. The battery that is on the combine does not go with the auction either, it came off one of my trucks.

This is about all I can think of at the moment, but will answer all questions to the best of my ability. I will help load on your trailer and have plenty of room to get a semi and lowboy. I will also be willing to store the combine for a reasonable amount of time if payed in full. I require a $500.00 deposit via either PayPal or certified funds within 48 hours after auction ends. The remainder must be payed within a week unless other arrangements are made prior to auction end. I will NOT ship or deliver this combine. This combine is sold as is and I offer no warranties.

Good luck and happy bidding.
