Aluminum Shiny Finish 15in Porthole
( No Glass or Mirror )
We had so many requests for the plain porthole we had some made without the glass or mirror
Supply is very limited
This is a new reproduction aluminum porthole crafted in the old nautical style. The porthole swings out when the wingnuts are loosened and disengaged. The Aluminum normal aluminum color with shiny finish, making this a wonderful collectible. Has three predrilled holes for easy wall mounting.
This is also nice to cover up something on wall , like small safe, just add picture behind glass.
Some want these to install on each side of a door with the center open, some want to make a special clock, some want to install a special painting, or picture, some like etched plex-a-glass, some want to set it over a picture on a wall or door, it is made with 6 drilled and threaded holes on the back for easy mounting of glass/ picture, clock, mirror or what ever. Excellent if you need to circulate air between rooms. Just a few of the 100's of uses we have sold portholes for, and most are used in a nautical design decoration.
The portholes we sell are decorative only, not for use outside to protect from a storm.
Recalls the sailing ships and navy vessels of yesteryear. Would made a wonderful addition to any marine collection, or gift for the nautical enthusiast.
This brass porthole measures approximately 15 1/4 inches in diameter and 2 1/2inches high at wing nuts. Glass 10 1/4 in dia. ( 9 5/8 viewing area. Outer ring 1/2 in thick, Inner ring 1/4 in thick. When swung open open area is 12 1/4 in
