The
obverse features a crowned medieval F and the reverse a crowned
medieval I. Translated it typically reads "FERNANDVS; ET; HELISABET"
and rev. "REX: ET: REGINA: CASTELLEGIO: ARAGO" or sometimes ending in
"LEGION" or a similar version. Many, many varieties exist of these
early type coins.
