It is tri-folded, and opens to about 8 1/2 by 12 inches. lists about 30 players who were going to spring training, and has their 1944 information; some were in the majors, some the minor, some in military service. Mel Ott was the manager that year. There is a listing of all of the Giants players who were currently on the National Defense Service List. There is a schedule of spring training games. And a schedule for home games during the regular season. Because of the War, the Giants had spring training at Lakewood, New Jersey that year. Their spring training games were gathered nearby... they played the Yankees at Atlantic City. Their last game before the regular season began was at West Point, against the United States Military Academy. This is a nice, clean roster.
