ANTIQUE CAST IRON SAD IRONS - EARLY 1900’s

These old sad irons are very heavy and in good condition for the age, even the handles are made of cast iron.  At one time they were both black in color, however someone painted one iron silver and the paint is wearing off, and the other one is rusty as shown in the photo. These characteristics give them both a very “antiqued” look and adds to their charm!

These irons can be used in all sorts of creative ways: put some felt on the bottom and use as a charming door stop; display on a shelf in your new, made to look vintage, laundry room; dress up a pretty planter; use as book ends; or group with other age old collectibles of the past!

The silver iron weighs 7 pounds and the other weighs 8 pounds.
