You are bidding on an 8x10 Lamination Plaque of the famous Martin Mars Water Bombers situated in Port Alberni, BC. The water bombers are the last two planes from world war 2 that were converted to water bombers. There are currently two bombers, the hawaii, and the phillipine. Currently the Hawaii is fighting wild fires in California while the Phillipine is located at their primary home base at Sproat Lake in BC.
The following photo was taken on the grand opening in May 2007 at the bomber base in Port Alberni.
The lamination plaque is a light weight, anti-glare seal that is laminated over the actual photo and sealed against a mount board. The photo is also water resistant and holds a red trim on the outside border of the photo.
