We purchased an estate sale trunk that contained the belongings of a person who was in love with all things Scottish. This particular item is a calendar for 1959 in which each month is dedicated to a different Scottish Clan:
January: Clan MacGregor July: Clan MacKinnon
February: Clan MacDonald August: Clan Gordon
March: Clan Colquhoun September: Clan MacLean
April: Clan MacLeod October: Clan Hamilton
May: Clan Stewart November: Clan MacDougall
June: Clan Ogilvie December: Clan Buchanan
As you can see in the pictures, each month has a picture from the clan's territory, their crest and their tartan. It really is interesting! The entire calendar is wire bound at the top. Unfortunately, the cover sheet and January are loose, but the entire calendar is lovely and has no tears, rips or writing.
