This rare vintage copy of "Rumpelstiltzkin" cloth-like book was published by The Saalfield Publishing Company in 1940.  The book measures  12 1/2" x 9 1/2".  There is wear along the spine and ~ 1/2 tear on the back cover at the top.  The book is in good shape with vivid colors.

Other than the story about Rumpelstiltzkin there are 3 one page stories.  One a "THE CLOCK" that goes Tick Tock, "MY DOG" and "THE NEW NEIGHBOR" Mrs. Bluebird.  There is small black had written 10 on the top of the cover which I am guessing is the price of 10 cent.  Can you even get penny candy anymore for a dime?

From the pictures your can see the artistic talents of artist a gone by era.  This could be the crowning joy of a book collection.
