Here is a complete set of instructions with plans and numerous illustrations for building a low cost log cabin home.Instead of laying logs horizontally in the traditional way they are split and installed vertically.This means that smaller lower cost logs can be used which lowers costs greatly.

The split logs (or slabs) are installed with a layer of building paper between the inside and outside slabs so that chinking is not necessary.If you wish you can use plywood instead of the building paper at somewhat greater cost.

Plans are shown for a four room or one room cabin and the interior could in fact be partitioned in any way you wish rather easily.

Instructions are given for foundations,framework,fireplace,roof etc.A complete concise set of instructions,drawings and plans which will enable anyone to build their own log cabin.If you are looking for a low cost way to build a summer cottage this is it.Since the logs are small and don,t have to be lifted up high you don,t need a crane to lift them.
