UV Filters help protect valuable investment from dust, mosture and scratches. How to identify whether a filter is coated or not? Take a filter up to a light bulb and observe the reflection of the light bulb. A non-coated filter should show the image in the original color of the light bulb. If a filter is coated, the reflected image should be tinted with a color different from the original.
