It's time to go green!!

This is a hand crafted cedar wood worm compost bin with three cedar compost trays, a cedar base, a cedar lid and a plastic container to catch any excess liquid (if there is any, the cedar keeps the moisture and temperature even throughout the bin). A lot of people believe this liquid is worm compost tea, but, it is not. It's excess water and worm pee!! Instructions will be included on how to make worm compost tea, along with general instruction on how to care for your worm composter. This worm composter is hand crafted and made entirely from cedar. The trays are stackable and are easy to handle when full.

 Worm composting ( vermicomposting ) is the easy way to compost year round. Vermicomposting can be done inside or outside. Inside you can place it under your sink, in your basement, garage, laundry room, anywhere that is well ventilated and temperature controlled. Outside you can place it on your balcony, deck, patio, shed or garage. Just make sure it's shady, well ventilated and not too hot nor too cold. It doesn't matter if you live in an apartment, condo, or house.

  Reduce your contribution to landfills. YEAR ROUND!! Your new worm composter will compost food scraps and more. Some examples are... vegetables, fruits, bread, eggshells, grain, pasta, used coffee grounds and filters, used tea bags, newspaper, cardboard, junk mail, yard clippings.... and more. No meat, bones, fat (oil) or dairy products... these items create a smell and are slow to decompose. 

  Create BLACK GOLD. The worm castings that will be created is truly black gold. Your flower beds, vegetable gardens and lawn will love all the natural microbes. It's the best soil addiditive available... IMHO!! The castings are 100% natural and they're free... made by items you would just throw away!! Your yard will be the envy of the neighborhood.

  Make worm compost tea. Worm compost tea adds an instant burst of nutrients to your garden and lawn yet won't burn them. Spray it where needed every couple of weeks for instant fertilization. Plants love it.

DO NOT BE FOOLED... PLASTIC WORM BINS RETAIN MOISTURE... WHICH WILL EITHER MAKE YOUR WORMS WANT TO ESCAPE OR WILL SIMPLY DROWN THEM!! IT ALSO ATTRACTS A LOT OF FLIES. I'VE EXPERIMENTED WITH BOTH PLASTIC AND CEDAR BINS, AND CEDAR IS THE WAY TO GO. ALSO, AT THE END OF THE PLASTIC BINS LIFE... IT WILL HEAD TO THE LANDFILL... CEDAR BINS ARE COMPOSTABLE!!

No worms are included. If you would like to include worms please contact me before paying for this item and a new invoice will be created. Worms are $30 for 500 red wiggler worms or $40 for 1000. Weight may vary due to worm sizes. If you would like 1 pound of bedrun (approximately 700 worms) it'll be $35. A coir block ( approximately 4"x4"x2" ) is also included when worms are included. No coir is included if worms are not included. Worms will ship seperately and there is no extra shipping charges for worms.  

What is included is a three bin worm composter with base and lid (all made from cedar) and a plastic tray to catch excess fluid. No muss no fuss. You will receive a worm bin just like the one in the picture. The plastic tray may vary.
