FANTASTIC one bedroom apartment with large double bed & sofa bed in lounge(easily sleeps four),   and SUPERB 2 Bedroom Apartment with Kingsize Bed in the 1st bedroom, a double bed in the 2nd bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge (sleeps 6 adults)

Close to the famous river THAMES and within walking distance of Houses of Parliament and London Eye, fully secure & private ( FREE ) parking thru electric gates , quiet location, a true Oasis in this fantastic city.Easy access to all destinations as there are two tube stations within 5 minutes walk.  The WEST END, THEATRE LAND , HARRODS, and most major attaractions   are only a 10min cab or tube ride away. Situated in the portuguese area there are fantastic restaurants and tapas bars close by. You can take in a show , go shopping , sight seeing or just lounge by the full size swimming pool or maybe even work out in the Gym. Both apartments have seperate showers, fully fitted kitchens with all appliances, TV, DVD and STEREO etc, you don't need towels or sheets , just arrive and relax.

LOCAL Shopping.   The closest local supermarket is Sainsbury's at nine elms (appx 5 mins walk) and Tesco in Kennington Lane. A local Italian deli with fantastic coffee is Tony's on the corner of South Lambeth Rd, and Fentiman appx 2 /3 min walk.. The rear gate opens on to Old South Lambeth Rd, the start of a half kilometre strip of shops that is gradually becoming 'Little Portugal'. Shops include fresh Fish, imported Portuguese delicacies and an excellent artisan baker. There is also a tradional Shoe repairer. a pharmacy a small DIY store and a Laundry & Dry Cleaner offering a top quality hand finished shirt service.

Restaurants: Vasco Da Gama is a former pub that now serves tapas all day and robust meals at lunchtimes and evenings. Docas Bar could have been transported direct from the back streets of Lisbon. The Estrela is a well known tapas bar, patisserie and restaurant whose cafe spills out on to the pavement, it's hallmark is flavoursome home cooked food. There is of course the famous 'Lavender' in Clapham Rd, L'Inizio an Italian restaurant in South Lambeth Rd, and the Lobster Pot in Kennington Lane.
History:
The complex contains several listed buildings all part of Beaufoys Wine & Vinegar factory from the early 19th century. The Beaufoy name vanished in 1932 but Sarson's now a part of Nestle' continued to produce Vinegar here untill 1972.

The district as whole has a long history , with royal connections going back to at least the end of the fourteenth century , when the teenage Black Prince , as the newly created Duke of Cornwall , was granted the manor of Kennington and Vauxhall by his father , Edward 111. He built what was reputed to be a splendid palace in part of what is now Kennington Lane. Alas nothing remains because Henry V111 pulled it down in 1531.                                      The most eyecatching memory of the areas industrial past is the former home of Royal Doulton Pottery in Black Prince Rd, with it's terracotta facade and frieze about the door.

In more recent history Charlie Chaplin was born in Vauxhall , lived in Kennington Rd, and went to school in Sancroft Street, also Feild Marshall Lord Montgomery of Alamein was born at St. Marks vicarage opposite the Oval in Harleyford Road.
 

The NEIGHBOURHOOD: it is within walking distance of the Thames and the Thames path which heading downstream takes you to Londons latest attraction 'the London Eye' and to the South Bank Concert Halls , National Theatre , National Film Theatre , Hayward Gallery , Tate Modern ,  the recreated 'Globe' theatre , Tower Bridge and beyond.

It is within even shorter walking distance of the Oval Cricket Ground , Tate Britain and Houses of Parliament. Buckingham Palace , Lambeth Palace and Westminster Cathedral. It is also no more than an attractive walk away from St. James's Park , Green Park , Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. It is but a few minutes drive away to the best shopping in London , to Knightsbridge , to Sloane Square and Kings Road ,  to Bond St , Jermyn St , Regent Street and Oxford Street.
