Aegis temperature control products are designed to provide
optimum comfort while saving as much as 20% on heating/cooling
costs. Aegis Thermostats automatically “set back” heating/cooling
when residents are asleep or away and restores the temperature when
the residents wake up or return home. Aegis temperature control
products come in a wide variety of styles for most applications and include
Thermostats, Outdoor Temperature Sensors and Programmable Energy
Saver Modules (PESMs).
Aegis Thermostats
Aegis Thermostats replace existing thermostats that control of the building’s HVAC
unit(s) via the existing wiring. These thermostats communicate with the Aegis Control
Module via an additional three-conductor control cable. All Aegis thermostats provide
the following features:
-Attractive low profile design with large easy to read display
-Energy Star Certified
-Manual override for all functions and “Hold” button to prevent automatic operation
-Heat/cool set points, heating/cooling mode and fan controllable by Aegis system
-Filter change reminder
-Adjustable cycle times and anticipation
-User control and status reporting through Aegis via telephone, Personal Computer or Aegis wall consoles
-Temperature control based on any event (i.e. residents leaving, interior motion, security status, etc.) or time
-Thermostats also display outdoor temperature when outdoor sensor is used
-Remote temperature sensors allow thermostats to be hidden

-Displays outdoor temperature on Aegis thermostats throughout the home

-Outdoor temperature can be used to provide freeze warning or “wear coat” or other messages
Programmable Energy Saver Modules (PESMs)
-Used for special applications where Aegis thermostats are unsuitable
-Bypasses existing non-Aegis thermostats to effect energy saving
