GEO III Mahogany Corner Cupboard, for restoration.
The cupboard itself, has one or two area’s that need attention. The base is missing it’s {probably}, Bracket feet. These fix onto a batten, which is worm damaged and needs replacing. A very simple job!
There are some losses to the applied mouldings, to the door, as shown and the cornice needs fixing on properly.
Still, let’s get onto the details!
A Geo III Mahogany Corner Cupboard. The very unusual cornice with carved detailing, {one carving missing}, above a pair of well figured, double panel doors. These open to reveal a ‘shaped shelved’ interior, {later painted}, complete with later fitted lighting. {the lights have not been tested & should not be used, until done so!}.
Beneath are a further pair of well figured doors. These open to reveal a single shelf. All supported on the remains of a pine square section moulding, which formally held the feet.
As previously advised, the feet are missing, actually the whole bottom bit needs a little TLC, nothing major, but it’s been repaired over time and needs sorting out properly! Seriously nothing major, just painting a ‘black picture’, so you can be delighted when you see it & not shocked!
Very good colour and actually very useable, ‘as is’. I’m just trying to avoid any more spurious neutrals & negatives, ‘feedback wise’, by telling you like it is!
53.5" w x 80"h x approx. 24" deep.
Offered with no reserve and less than a third of cost! |
