Americana Early to Mid 1900s Weathervane
Featuring a woodcutter, craftsman or lumberjack and his dog
Woodcutter's saw moves back and forth as the wind paddles rotate
Construction: Wood and metal (i.e. Sheet metal, metal shaft, screws and washers)
Very nice condition
(Note: For purposes of shipment, due to the overall size of the weathervane, the paddles and the shaft they are attached to, are separated from the body of the weathervane. A close-up of how the shaft reattaches to the body of the weathervane will be included when shipped to the customer. The shaft screws into the mechanism that converts the rotating motion of the paddles into a linear "back and forth motion" that causes the woodcutter's arm to move and the saw saw. This dissambly, in no way, causes harm to the weathervane.)
