TOUR MEMORY: Christmastime is always a special time to see The Dead, especially in San Francisco, where it all began for them and me. I can remember them sharing the bill with Chuck Berry at the old Fillmore back in '67. So it gave me a huge chill when they played two of Chuck's chestnuts, "Around and Around" into "Johnny B. Goode" late in the second set. It was the best belated Christmas present anyone could give to me.
