Again)-Also known as Pompon. Medium to large size, fully double
to semi-double, lat petal, 2.5-3 in. flowers. 2 ft. plants.
Complete color range. Great for
cut flowers. It is ideal for fronting borders,
spectacular planted en masse, and easy to
grow in pots or planters for color
accents on the patio or porch.

Soil needs: Moderately fertile, well drained, rich soil with a ph of
5.5-7.5.
Care: Plant established plants 8" - 12" apart for
proper air circulation. Air
circulation is necessary. Root stimulator will
encourage quicker rooting and
stronger root system. Use a slow release
fertilizer at planting time or begin
using water-soluble fertilizer at planting
time and continue to use every 3
weeks throughout the growing season. Apply
3" vegetative mulch around
plants in summer to help retain soil moisture.
Dead head to keep plants neat
and prevent self seeding. Use care not to wet the
leaves when watering.
Remove any diseased leaves. Remove plants in the fall.
Pests and diseases: Powdery Mildew, Bacterial Wilt, Southern Blight,
Stem Rot,
Bacterial Spot, Fungal Spot.
Good companions: Threadleaf Coreopsis, Sweet potato, purple
fountain grass.
Propagation: Sow indoors 6 - 8 weeks prior to last frost or sow directly
to
garden.Sprinkle seeds over soil mix and cover to a depth of 1/4" -
1/2 " .
Thoroughly moisten soil and keep moist throughout
germination. Soil should not
be soggy. Transplant to garden when all
danger of frost is gone.
