Mel Ott of the New York Giants, and Lou Gehrig of the New York Yanks; shaking hands  as they wish each other good luck just before the opening game of the World Series September 30, 1936. the book has 64 pages. very informative little book, also gives a lot of history of the Louisville Slugger baseball bats. As well, some pictures and especially the signed copies by various baseball players are shown. as tips of batting and some rules pages. who and why of baseball for this world series.

inside the front cover is a forward by J.A. Hillerich, manufacturer of Louisville Slugger Bats for more than fifty years, (in 1936) pages 11 to 19 holds complete information concerning the selectino and care of your bat.  He is requesting that you read and follow the tips given on the care for your bat. then on pages 32 to 40 there are pictured the complete lines of Louisville Sluggers baseball and softball bats - up to this time in 1936 that is. It also shows the original logo for the bats.
