...about my mallets. I started making marimba mallets in 1997 when I was about to play a specific marimba solo in college. I couldn't find any mallets that suited the music, or my hands. That's when I started producing my very own mallets that were lighter in weight to help me control the mallet, not let the weight of the mallet control the music. And one thing I've learned in 10+ years of playing and making mallets; you get what you pay for. But, you don't have to spend a fortune to get something that isn't exactly what you want.
