Item Description: Up for bid is a Hewlett-Packard Colorado 20GB Travan Parallel
Tape Drive, HP Model C4447A, S/N MX00571064. 45MB/min data transfer rate, 250,000 MTBF.
System requirements: CD-ROM drive, IBM compatible PC, Pentium or higher; Windows 95/98 or
NT WS 4.0, 20MB free hard disk space, 16MB RAM, parallel port. The drive has a parallel
pass-through, so that it can be daisy-chained with a parallel printer or used solo. The
outer box has been opened, but all of the components inside are still sealed in their
individual packages, as can be seen in the picture. The packaging states that the drive
can read and write to both C4435 20GB and C4436 14GB Travan tapes, and read C4425 8GB and
C4429 5GB tapes. All of these sizes are dependant on a 2:1 compression ratio, which is
achieved by using the included software.
