This is a vintage handmade spread made from old flour sacks and trimmed in pink chenille. A friend inherited this from her greatgrandmother and didn't want it!! So she gave it to me and here it is.
It is very old and does have a rip at the bottom and a small hole above that but it is a sweet piece of remembrance and history about the way people made do with what they had.
Imagine sewing flour sacks together to make a blanket and then to make it not look so plain adding the then cheap chenille to make it look so now "shabby chic."
