Very Rare!!!!! Double Signed "Shi" with "sa" marking also on this small 2.38 dia.(7 1/2 inch circumference) Japanese Glass Ball Fishing Float
The top symbol stands for "shi" and the bottom is "sa" which means "unknown". This was possibly manufactured by the Sasa Glass Company.
This one is unique with the shi mark on it twice.. hav'nt had one quite like this before!
We live a mile from a great beachcombing area right on the path for these floats so after storms and high tides check our listings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This float measures 2.38" diameter. and was found on a beach in Southern Oregon.
It is a mouth-blown Beautiful Aqua Marine colored glass ball.
This float was used as a working Japanese fishing float.
It is in great beachcombed condition with normal wear of working fishing floats that have spent their life at sea. It is made with heavy thick glass with impurities and bubbles from the Japanese manufacturing technique. This one has a very nise clearness to it and a very cool button inside where the float was sealed during it being made!
The integrity of this float is very sound.
A NICE Addition for any collector's display for sure.
