Bobby Orr Scores “The Goal” to win the Stanley Cup
This auction is for an 12 x 15 plaque with an 8 x 10 black & white photo of Bobby Orr scoring "The Goal" on May 10, 1970 to win the Stanley Cup for the Boston Bruins. This memorable moment, seen in newspapers around the world, brought Lord Stanley’s Cup to Boston for the first time in 29 years.
There are two brass plates under the photo. The one on the left is an embossment of a hockey net, stick, puck and skates. On the right is a brass plate that is engraved with “Bobby Orr #4 “Defense” Boston Bruins”.
This plaque would make a great addition to any collection, particularly if you remember those golden years.
There are a few minor nicks on the plaque, one on the lower right corner and one on the top center.
