Applications
Minolta's Di250 is a powerful digital printer/copier specifically developed to answer the
needs of workgroups and mid-sized businesses -- the kind of applications where digital
performance advantages must be weighed against cost, performance, and reliability.
No two applications are identical. Each has specific needs which can be served by the
Di250's features -- such as 2-hole punching of documents for legal and real estate
applications, superior copy quality for applications requiring documents with complex text
and graphics, networking interface for departmental workgroups, and stapling/sorting
capabilities for businesses wishing to produce more documents in-house.

Corporate/Departmental Workgroups
For this fast-growing application, the Di250 provides a powerful networkable printing
solution with finishing capabilities to make in-house documents more professional and
cost-effective to produce. Hole-punching, sorting help to minimize tedious hand-finishing
of documents. Additional features that appeal to this application include "walk-up" copying
capabilities, compact design, small footprint for crowded work spaces, and departmental
user codes to allocate costs to specific departments within a large organization.
Legal Applications
The entire legal system is based upon printed communications. The Di250 provides
print/copy capabilities on legal-sized paper, with 2-hole punching for placing documents in
case or file folders. The superior image clarity of the Di250 makes it ideal for reproducing
detailed drawings or photographs of evidence or crime scenes. And for in-house
production of contracts, briefs, petitions, judgements, pleadings, and legal statements, the
Di250 is both reliable and cost-effective.
Insurance Applications
Minolta's Di250 is well suited to the document needs of firms that specialize in the
business of identifying and transferring risk from an individual or business to the insurer
who is organized to accept these risks. Documentation is vital to the correct processing of
claims and adjustments -- and the Di250 is ideal for producing policies, claims forms,
adjustments, training materials, even copies of photographs and drawings. Insurance
companies will also benefit from the Di250's ability to print and copy on legal-sized paper
and 2-hole punch documents to fit in file or case folders.
Finance
The fast-growing finance industry includes banks, investment brokerage firms, credit
unions, internal corporate finance departments, and accounting firms. All of these
applications generate reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis -- and
the ability to produce, finish, and distribute these documents in-house can save significant
time and money while maintaining all-important confidentiality. The Di250 is an excellent
choice for creating loan forms, tax forms, legal briefs, general ledger reports, accounts
payable documents, receivables statements, and budget reports.
Real Estate/Mortgages
In this application, as well as legal and insurance environments, use of 2-hole legal paper
is common. The Di250 performs with superior quality and cost-efficiency in the production
of contracts, lease forms, mortgage applications, deeds, titles, title searches, tax forms
and reports.

Health Care
The health care industry is going through significant changes -- and facing increased
demands in documentation and paperwork. Health care providers are consolidating and
growing larger. Pharmaceutical companies are expanding their operations. Government
regulations are constantly changing. In every area of the health care industry,
documentation is becoming more important. Hard copy is used to document policies,
procedures, patient care, and a vast array of billing and insurance information. Along with
specific features such as legal-sized printing/copying and 2-hole punching, the reliability
and cost-efficiency of the Di250 gives health care professionals an economical way to
produce standardized forms, billing documents, patient records, and copies of medical
articles, birth certificates, examination forms, directories, and vouchers.
Government
For government applications, Minolta1s Di250 is cost-effective, user-friendly, spacesaving,
and reliable. It also has a significant advantage over competitive printer/copiers: it
can be configured to suit wheelchair-accessible environments. The "Americans with
Disabilities Act" requires that all government facilities be handicapped-accessible -- and
for government offices with wheelchair-bound employees, the Di250 can provide a rampfree
work environment that makes printing and copying quicker and more convenient.
