The top is hunter green with gold trim, a beautiful gold crown followed by a banner saying the product, "Kronen SHAG". The top rim, or edge, is filled with German words, possibly their address, weight of product, etc. The bottom has its original paper stamp. I sat this box on its long side to show off the top which is really quite pretty. The rest of the box just isn't so pretty but no holes just old looking and although it isn't rust, I don't think, it is quite aged. It, however, doesn't have bumps or dents in it. An interesting piece with nice coloring. I am listing now about five tins from my collection--if you buy more than one, the total shipping would be the same as for one, ie $4.55.
