Hardbound African big game hunting and adventure book entitled "Camera Trails in Africa" by Martin Johnson.
CONDITION:
Book is in good condition. Spine is faded with a slight lean. Light soiling on page edges. Last blank end page has some pencil scribling. Otherwise no writing, marks or stamps. All pages present, clean and firmly attached.

Copyright date of 1924 shown. Published by Grosset & Dunlap. Contains 342 pages and 23 vintage black and white photographs.
The name Martin Johnson, nearly two decades after his death, still means adventure and Africa. In this his first book he describes his journey to Kenya to film big game. While he decried the indescriminate slaughter of animals, he did hunt lion, leopard, rhinoceros, buffalo, and elephant in the Chobe Hills and near the GTuaso N'yiro. Among his obeservations was that an elephant gun is simply an overgrown shot-gun.
