AFRICAN HAND-MADE FISH DRUMS OF GAZELLE HORN TRIBALBEAT
| Seller: bayarean99 ( 157 ) End Time: 2008-07-26 08:15:48 GMT Bids: 2 Current Price: GBP 3.79 Location: Bournemouth Time Left: 0 Seconds | | | For More Details: Click here | | UP FOR AUCTION: TWO HAND-CARVED HORNS, I SUSPECT THEM TO BE THOSE OF A GAZELLE, INTO THE SHAPE OF WHAT WOULD BE A FISH, SOMETHING IN THE CATFISH FAMILY. USE? YOU HAVE GOT ME, YET I AM ALWAYS READY TO TAKE AN EDUCATED GUESS. THEY ARE PROBABLY SOME SORT OF PERCUSSIONARY INSTRUMENTS AS WHEN THEY ARE HIT TOGETHER, THEY MAKE A NICE CLICKING SOUND. DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE THE EYES, I DON'T THINK THEY WERE ANY KIND OF TOOL. PROBABLY SOME SORT OF CEREMONIAL DRUM AS THEY VISUALLY FIT THE PART AS WELL AS THE SOUND. NEITHER OF THEM IS EXACTLY THE SAME. OH, YES, I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT THEY HAVE OPEN CARVED MOUTHS WITH TEETH WHICH ARE NOT TOO VISIBLE IN THE PICTURE. PERFECT FOR THE COLLECTOR OF AFRICAN TRIBAL ART. YOU TOO, CAN BE CHIEF FOR A DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VISIT!
HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!!!!!
