(1) The Kansas City Star collection contains copies of vintage newspaper original quilt patterns. There were more than 1,000 quilt patterns were printed between 1928 and 1961 in The Kansas City Star, and its sister publications The Weekly Star and The Star Farmer. This publishing tradition that preserved much of American quilt heritage. Collected here in digital format...a perfect way to store such a large collection without the expense of purchasing originals, or even making & mailing such a volume of copies! See below if you'd like to see pattern names.

(3) Santa's Parade & Happy Childhood Patterns - The "Santa's Parade Quilt" series ran in December 1929, and The "Happy Childhood Quilt" series ran in October and November of 1932. Some of the individual patterns ran as the weekly quilting pattern. Depending on the date of publication, you received just that piece of the quilt. Both will be included on the CD so you have complete sets.

(4) Bird Life, Flower Garden and Roly Poly Quilt Patterns - Diagrams of these patterns are published in the 101 Quilt Pattern book (below). But... you had to mail away for the full sized pattern' the patterns were not in the book and there was not enough detail in the diagram for you to make your own. All 3 will be included in full size on the CD so you have complete sets.
