Famed publicist and political strategist who, with his wife, actress Jinx Falkenburg, virtually invented the talk-show genre. The pair starred together in several radio and TV shows in the 1940s and '50s. In 1952, McCrary launched a successful campaign to convince Gen. Dwight Eisenhower to run for president on the Republican ticket. McCrary coined the famous slogan " I Like Ike."
