Based on Erte's original depiction of "The Alphabet" which was made famous by the Suite of Serigraphs produced in the early 1980's! This Dashing creation is made of Sterling Silver and Vermeil, contain hand Set Swarovski Crystals and was cast from the original molds used to make the solid gold version with precious and semi-precious gemstones that was released many years ago. This piece was produced in an open edition, however, less than 200 of each letter was ever made and is Officially Licensed by the Estate of Erte and Signed by ERTE! Measures Approx: 1.00 X .50 inches. Chain is 15" long with normal round locking clasp. Listprice:$350 but my price is less than wholesale. I have others from this series in my store. In fact, if you want another letter that is in more store, you can get it with your winning bid. So instead of the D, you can switch it for whatever letter I have that you want. Over the course of his career, Erte had a Significant Influence on the style and design of the 20th century. Erte made a name for himself while designing cover art and illustrations for the magazine Harper`s Bazaar. After designing for films like Ben Hur and dressing an extensive list of opera, stage and screen stars including Josephine Baker and Anna Pavlova, Erte was given the title "Father of Art Deco."
