Fifth Issue 1874 - 1875 Ten Cent Fractional United States Note -- See Photo's
This is a nice note, it is over 130 years old and is good shape for a note that age! The note features "The Head of William M. Meredith" and the BIG RED SEAL on the front. Both sides on the back state "Act of March 3rd 1863."William M. Meredith: Was the 19th "Secretary of the Treasury," he began his term in March of 1849.
This note is known as fractional currency which was issued from August 21, 1862 through February 15, 1876.
