MC FLOCCULANTS
MC FLOCCULANTS are clay based powder or granular chemicals that remove emulsified oils, suspended solids, phosphates and heavy metals from industrial wastewater. Almost instantly upon the addition of MC FLOCCULANTS, the coagulation/flocculation process begins. Our clay based flocculants can be used with any WWT system and often times as a "one-step" treatment process. The results of our treatment process is a sludge with very good dewatering characteristics that is suitable for disposal in a non-hazardous landfill, and an effluent that is sufficiently free of oil, metals and suspended solids, and in most cases can be discharged into a municipal sewer or recycled.
ENCAPSULATION
Encapsulation is a process of waste fixation. The MC FLOCCULANTS are manufactured using high quality bentonite clay which has both positive (cationic) and negative (anionic) charge sites on the surface of the clay platelet. Once these sites come in contact with the various positive and negatively charged contaminants in the wastewater they are bound together through electrostatic and other forces. After the sludge is dewatered it continues to go through a pozzolanic curing process (similar to that of concrete) which only improves with time.
This encapsulation process produces a non-leachable sludge that can be disposed of in non-hazardous industrial landfills. This type of disposal cost three to five times less than disposing of concentrates or leachable sludge's in hazardous waste landfills, and it eliminates the possibility of groundwater contamination. To verify non-leachability a TCLP test is recommended for each sludge produced from our process.
