A SERIOUSLY NICE "INVERTED WATERMARK" DIE I 1913 1d RED KANGAROO STAMP (LARGE CROWN OVER LARGE A WMK)
This stamp is not only clean and very fresh, it is the deepest red of reds....it also carries the hard-to-find Tasmanian "Kingston Beach" postmark. It is very nicely centered - just a tad upward (or is that downward?) - a seriously high-quality unit. Forget the Australian Commonwealth Specialists' Catalogue listing at $25 (set well before the Kangaroo "Inverted Boom") ... this one is worth at least $55 or higher. Still, you will determine the value of this upside-down Tassie.
