I purchased this at an auction and have only limited information about it. What I do know is that this is a wooden pottery mold. It is marked 22 1/2" which is the circumference around the widest girth. It is also marked #796, Midwest ABCD Co.
The mold is 7 1/2" tall. The interior is 4 3/4" in diameter with a 2 1/4" center (the hole is 7/8" inch diameter.)
I tried to research this and didn't come up with much, but I don't think wood has been used for contemporary pottery.
