Lynn, Massachusetts The Company was formed in the late 1800s when lamps were still made with carbon filaments (these clearly have tungsten filaments), and was a major early light-bulb supplier along with GE.
Champion Lamps 500W 115V This Bulb was made for picture projection, 500 watts with a filament zig-zagged across to make a large rectangular light source instead of just a bright line from a single filament.
I believe this bulb dates from the late '30s. It sat for many years in my dad's cupboard, along with his home-made photographic enlarger & other darkroom equipment, sitting idle as he was sidetracked by raising his large family.
These are unused. The filament continuity is good, glass looks good, seals look good. The base is oxidized, including the lead center contact. The box & packing is intact, but a little mis-shaped from years of sitting in a stack.
There are 7 of these bulbs, all in equally good shape. The bid auction is for one, but the winner can purchase up to all 7 at the same price per bulb.
