Antique World Map, ca. 1954-1960

This auction is for an antique world map. The entire map measures 34 x 51.5 inches, with the colored image itself 30.25 x 49 inches. There are tape markings in the corners. There are also two tears along the crease (near Alaska), as one can see in the close-up photo. The map is in otherwise good shape and has little yellowing.

The map is undated. However, given the names of the nations one can extrapolate that the map was produced between 1954 (after the independence of French Indochina) and before 1960 (when most of Africa became independent).
