After checking out some of the listings we noticed misleading claims from our competitors.  We have always been honest and upfront with our clients.  Here is what we have found and the truth about their claims

1)     A few of them claim 15 hairs can be treated during a single pulse!!!  They later claim their beams are precise enough to treat individual hairs.  The truth is that every person has different hair densities.  We don’t make numerical claims for the number of hairs treated.  However, given that our unit has a longer pulse cycle than our competitors, the LB500s would treat more hairs than our competitor units. Their units have shorter cycles which means less hair follicles can be treated unlike the LB500s which has a longer pulse cycle

2)     PERMANENT hair removal!!!!!!!   Several competitors claim permanent hair removal.  How do they claim this?  Well they cant.  It’s against the law.  They can not claim permanent hair removal if the item has not been reviewed and certified by the FDA.  There units haven’t been certified so they are blatantly breaking the law.

Lasers And Hair

When laser is absorbed by skin tissue, it generates thermal injuries on skin tissue by transforming into heat energy. Thermal injuries of skin tissue dissolve the tissue on degrees over 100 and cause scars arisen from irreversible degeneration on degrees between 50 and 100. Reversible regeneration is generated under 50 degrees, and this make the skin tissue possible to be restored to normal condition.  The degree of thermal injuries are determined by wavelength of the laser, intensity of light, the time emitted, absorbing material and characteristics, etc. When applied to surgical operations lasers can treat a variety of skin diseases without causing any side effects.

The laser used for hair removal destroys the root of hair by emission on hair or surroundings after being absorbed into pigment. The principal of laser hair removal is that the light energy emitted by a specific wavelength of laser which is selectively absorbed by the melanin pigment located in hair follicles, destroys the root of hair by transforming into thermal energy.

Precautions

The shorter and coarser the hair, the better the treatment will result, in that longer hair prevents the laser from easy transmission onto the root of the hair. Light hair is very hard to treat. Darker hair is best. For optimal results.

It may take several treatments. You would need to treat an area once a month till that hair follicle is gone. On average it takes about four to six treatments. In some patients it takes more.

Shave the area up to nearly clean with 1~2 mm of hair left for best results. This procedure will facilitate adequate root destruction of hair follicles by the laser. Electric hair removal cannot pull the hair out if not grown, but grown hair is an obstacle for laser hair removal. Following or one day prior to your treatment, remove the hair with a shaver or others. But don't pull the hair out because the laser is not effective where the hair is pulled out.

Let the heat of your skin cool down with an ice pack before and after the treatment as well as during the treatment because the laser generates heat on your skin during the uses. If you have no ice pack, substitutes such as cool towel can be used.

You can have a treatment by letting the laser emit directly on your hair. Even if the laser is emitted onto the root of the hair through the skin, it penetrates deep into the root of the hair and destroys it.

Aim the laser as closely as possible in small circular motions and not at the end of the hair.

In treatments of regions hard to aim such as armpits, have some help or use it as if you were drawing small circles

During the treatment, there is some pain - It is described as a "snap" or a "mild stinging"-associated with the high temperatures of the laser. This means the root of hair is successfully destroyed.

If there are burned hairs left, pull them out with high-frequency tweezers. Or let them sit and in about a week they should fall out

Two or three times of stinging sensation on each hair at a treatment is suitable. Apply the laser at skin pores in turns: Laser treatment at a skin pore in succession is not good.

Hair Cycles

Hairs in the Anagen phase of the hair cycle will only respond to laser hair removal.

Should I buy Protective Eye goggles?

We strongly encourage taking any and all precautions.

Should the wand be placed flush against the skin?

No, the wand should never be placed flush against the skin.  You need to hold the wand from a distance between the treatment area and the wand.  Adjust the distance till there is a sensation.

Its been 24hrs where are my results?

Because of there are different hair cycles, you need to use this item for 4-7 months to see results.  Using it for a month or even a day is not going to affect the hairs that are dormant.  This item does have more power than items such as Epila so actual treatments will  be faster and more effective.

The manufacturer didn’t apply a good manual, it was very confusing and written poorly, so as a courtesy to you we have developed a manual based on the information from the manufacturer, that can be emailed or sent with your item.
