Item Description
This is a CBS-created marketing/press kit for the TV series "TV101" that aired briefly during the 1988-1989 TV season.  Though the series "starred" Sam Robards (son of Jason) and Brynn Thayer (Matlock), the "student" cast included future stars Matt LeBlanc (Friends), Stacey Dash (Clueless), Teri Polo (Meet The Parents/Fockers, West Wing) and Alex Desert (Boy Meets World, Becker).  The show centered around a recently divorced journalist returning to his high school to teach journalism/video to a group of "typical" teens.  I worked at a CBS affiliate during that time, and have kept this safely tucked away ever since.  The kit includes a file folder with the program name and CBS logo on it, 3 color photos (Robards, Robards & Thayer, Robards & kids), one b/w photo (Robards, Thayer & kids), program notes, production credits, and cast bios.  I will call it near mint only because I don't want to disappoint someone by calling it mint, though it does appear nearly flawless, with the exception of the edges of the file folder have a few "dings".  The photos still have their original luster and shine, there are no tears, holes, tape marks or noticeable damage to my eyes.  There is no yellowing to the white portions of the paper (the photos are on glossy photo stock, the production notes are on standard copy paper)*.  An interesting piece of TV past, with an early look at some future stars.  Please feel free to ask any questions.
